I've been poking around the Reaper demo, and don't see this functionality. A Sonar feature that I use regularly are instrument definitions - I can set in a track the midi channel, bank and actual patch for my hardware synths. I am looking at both Reaper and Studio One. I imagine, you folks will see an uptick in users shortly. I am one of the lifetime Sonar users who was burned today.
